HUNGER’s MVP of the week

Welcome to HUNGER's Most Valuable Player, the place to find the best things to buy, watch, do or listen to each week. Forget about the hype, we want to separate what's hot, what's not, and what needs to be on your radar…

Kicking off this week’s MVP we have Madame F who has partnered up with LGBTQ+ charity Queer Britain to release a wonderful trio of mouth-watering wines. The partnership was built to celebrate the creative community of Queer Britain and supports the nation’s first LGBTQ+ museum, opening in Kings Cross. Madame F recently launched their pale Rosé to Sainsbury’s nationwide, which is a delicate yet fruity wine made with a unique blend of vibrant Grenache and citrusy Syrah. Secondly, Madame F Blanc is an expressive and lively white wine, it’s a gorgeous blend of creamy Viognier, citrus colombard and floral Muscat. Finally, Madame F Rouge, a rich and smooth red wine, combines a fabulous blend of vibrant grenache, bold shiraz and spicy carignan.

As the temperature continues to drop, if you’re like us, your winter wardrobe requires a big shake-up. Introducing Nobis’ FW22 collection, featuring plenty of pieces that will keep you toasty for the rest of the year, capture the essence of transition with best-in-class garments built to perform throughout the seasons. The collection is tactically designed with integrated technology systems to perform from mild to inclement weather, embracing the cycle from winter to spring and back into fall again.

Perhaps you’re looking to inject a bit of culture into your weekend plans? Well, why not head down to the Out Of Africa Gallery to witness the opening of their debut London group show, Africa Rises in Fall, this Sunday? The show boasts a wonderfully eclectic range of contemporary Artists spanning across East and West Africa, to North Africa and culminating as far as North America. Ranging from masterly figurative portraiture to abstract expressionism, the exhibiting artists explore a full spectrum of medium, movement, narratives and issues, that both incite spirited discourse and reflection, as well as excite and evoke the senses. The show takes place from 9-16 October in the iconic area of Notting Hill at the Unit 1 Gallery.

Sitting firmly on top as this week’s MVP is Charles & Keith’s latest collaboration with Paris-based independent streetwear brand, both. The collab centres around 90s punk stylings along with urban-chic streetwear aesthetics. The collection is available in three colours: black, white and a unique print featuring gold marble foil overlaid on a lemon-yellow background, specially designed by both. Pieces in the collection include a traditional Chelsea boot and chunky loafer as well as bags with a 90s-inspired silhouette. So, if you’re looking to add a bit of good old-fashioned edginess to your wardrobe, look no further.
