Blink-182 join TikTok to tease comeback single ‘Edging’

The rock icons recently announced an upcoming world tour as well as an album in the near future.

In news you probably weren’t expecting to hear in 2022, legendary rockers Blink-182 have joined TikTok, and shared a snippet of their upcoming single, ‘Edging.’

The band, which is made up of HUNGER cover star Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, announced yesterday the trio are reuniting to release new music and embark on a huge world tour. A full album is set to arrive from the group, with ‘Edging’ due to release this Friday (October 14th).

DeLonge, who quit the group in 2015, and was replaced by Alkaline Trio‘s Matt Skiba, will be contributing to a Blink-182 project for the first time since 2012. Meanwhile, DeLonge has teased that Blink’s forthcoming record is “the best album of our career” via an Instagram post.

In a new video posted to TikTok, DeLonge, Hoppus and Barker each introduce themselves while rocking rabbit costumes. “I’m Tom, and I’m fucking hot as fuck in this thing,” DeLonge says.

The 13-second clip is soundtracked by the upcoming upbeat ‘Edging.’ “The rabbit’s out of the hat,” Blink-182 wrote in the caption “Tour’s coming. Album’s coming. Tom’s coming. Tickets on sale Monday. New song EDGING out Friday [sic].” Lyrical Lemonade director Cole Bennett shared a clearer version of the same snippet. “I directed a video for my favourite rock band,” he wrote alongside a behind-the-scenes video.

In March 2023, the band will embark on their biggest headline tour to date. Concerts are scheduled to take place in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. The band will also play their first-ever shows in Latin America.
