Axel Arigato and Mulberry have partnered for a new nostalgic collab

The Swedish lifestyle label Axel Arigato has partnered with British luxury brand Mulberry for a limited edition capsule collection. Featuring bags, footwear, accessories, and unisex ready-to-wear, the collab will take from Mulberry’s vast archive for the 35 pieces.
For the designs, Arigato headed straight to the Mulberry archive to pull out classics like the Westbourne bag (a top-handle baguette number) and injected it with their own Scandi streetwear twist. It keeps the silhouettes but adds a spark of emerald green with the staple Mulberry lock in the centre – which also features on the garments as well as sneakers throughout.
The colourways of emerald green to azure blue to monochromatic black reimagine the likes of Mulberry’s Oversized Bayswater, Maddison, and the Shoulder Bag.. “Although founded in Sweden, since its inception Axel Arigato has been particularly welcomed by the UK, and so to launch a collaboration with Mulberry, a brand firmly embedded in British fashion history, feels like a naturally intuitive partnership to roll out,” says the Axel Arigato co-founder in a press release.
The values of both brands overlap in their commitment to their respective communities as well as sustainability efforts. Mulberry’s ‘Made to Last’ ethos and Arigato’s responsible design goals mean all bags have been produced in Mulberry’s UK carbon-neutral factories with environmentally friendly leather.
Footwear also makes an appearance in the collection, which has been handmade in Portugal with recycled PET bottles. Arigato’s Area sneaker is adorned with Mulberry’s Postman lock as well as the logo emblem of the tree. Throughout the apparel is a combined collaborative badge of the signature Mulberry emblem, featuring on the knees of navy cotton jeans, multi-neutral trenches, and oversized bomber jackets made from cotton products that have received the GOT certification.
