Olivia Dean is the face of Burberry’s new scent

Eight years after the fragrance’s original release, Burberry Her is introducing a new member to the family, and just as we’ve grown up since then, the latest edition of the Fruity Gourmand fragrance has had a seriously grown-up make-over. Swap the sweet top notes of strawberry with more sensual cherries, middle notes of soft violet with the warmer amber accord and deep patchouli, but keep the same musky vanilla base notes we loved so much in the original, and you’re left with a deliciously sultry and grown-up version of the classic fragrance.

Of course, what makes Burberry the brand that it is is the house’s devotion to their hometown of London, and each campaign serves as a love letter to the big city. Back in 2018, the campaign for the OG Her parfum was headed by none other than the London it-girl of the 2010’s, Cara Delevgine. Unbeatable, right? Not quite. This time around, they’ve done it again, inviting ultimate lover girl and fellow Londoner Olivia Dean to be their muse for the new iteration. Speaking to the fragrance’s top notes, Dean says “cherry makes me think of cherry blossom trees in the springtime in London, when all the trees turn pink.” She’s even written an original piece for the campaign’s soundtrack from the perspective of the starlings that float above the city’s skyline. “Its all about being in the sky and feeling free”, she explains, and “feeling untouchable in your womanhood”.

Naturally, the packaging had to have an upgrade to match the fragrance’s glow up. They’ve swapped the transparent baby-pink glass for a deeper opaque pink with a matte finish. It’s modern and sophisticated, feminine and strong. And it’s exactly the energy we want to take with us into 2026. Nothing screams ‘New Year, New Me!’ like a new perfume to match. Sold? Thought so.
